UKT: There seems to be confusion in assigning formal vowel
letters to the three pitch-registers
of Bur-Myan:

The accepted corresponding assignment is:

However, we must note that the {loän:kri:ting} diacritic gives rise to the
IPA pronunciation /i/ and not /u/
and is not appropriate. On the other hand, if we were to apply
{hkyaung:hking} the corresponding assignment
becomes:
which would necessitate a change of first register

which also is not
acceptable. However, if we would not make this change we are left with
