The names for the vowel-signs are:

• This group like the previous group,
{è. èý è:}, has a "flag" on the middle member. However,
this group has not been changed from
{au. au au:} -- U Tun Tint.
• The vowels {au} and {au:} are present in both Devanagari and
Bengali-script. The following are from Windows XP character map:
- Devanagari: ो (U094B vowel-sign O) and ौ(U094C vowel-sign Au)
- Bengali-script: ো (U09CB vowel-sign O) and ৌ (U09CC vowel-sign Au)
You will notice that in Devanagari, the vowel-sign follows the consonant and is
not split, whereas in Bengali the vowel sign is split and the consonant is in
the middle. Further more, for ো (U09CB vowel-sign O) the half-sign on the left
is ে (U09C7 vowel-sign E) and that on the right is া (U09BE vowel-sign Aa).
This observation had led me to compare the Burmese-Myanmar to Indian
language-scripts.
